I do get the text message received notification on screen. Just haven't dug into the settings very far. I'll give it a look.

Magnets will kill your battery faster - your phone has to work harder for signal strength. I noticed this when I bought the n - groove snap cd slot phone mount.

There is a good chance the only thing that's gonna happen, is that it will continue to stick in the place in which its attached. probably a better chance of that meteor hitting us tonight, than anything happening to your phone from a magnet.

No. I only plug it in at night. It's harder on the battery constantly plugging it in.

Honestly I figure they did their research before releasing the product. I've got a lot of Nite-Ize stuff and all of it has been pretty quality stuff. I'm really happy with how this looks and functions so we'll see.

I guess... I know with the older batteries that was the case but I plug mine in every time I get into the truck. I've never had a issue with a bad battery in the last few years.

Not the case with lithium ion batteries.

I have to do something about my phone now. I have one of those big-ass Samsung Note 2's, and it mounts up on the dash now, but if I forget to auto dim it at night and I get a call, damn thing will blind you...

I like the magnetic mount.

Nifty! I might have to look into one of these. I don't like my phone flopping around in my cup holder.

I like the concept, but I have a switch panel there...and I doubt that the magnet is strong enough to hole a Note3

LOL! I agree with chris4X4... I think we have more worldly problems than dealing with, "is this magnet gonna effect my phone". Apple seems to load magnets in all their connecting devices ( Connectors/Cases) sooooo?? haha

Yeah...let's start worrying about that meteor and less on the phone and battery:D

Man...this topic has turned into Comedy Central!
