Well it fits. Attached to the brackets exactly the same as the 5500 bit had to mill the opening a bit bigger. Looks great. Might even be able to use a premium bezel with this one.

Beat me to it! I just ordered one today. I gave up trying to get an Android model to work and this was just released. I'm hoping it fits the bezel perfectly without mods.

What did you do for the steering wheel controls? The Cruz or the Maestro?

I'm using the maestro. The measurements are very close to the premium bezel as far as I can tell. I don't have my premium bezel anymore.

That looks fantastic. It should fit the premium audio bezel perfectly. Great work.

Did you have to add the XM tuner? and use a new antenna or the existing one?

Yes. You need the aftermarket XM tuner. I used adapters to connect it to the factory antenna.

Next time I get mine out I'll take a picture. But the unit comes with some brackets for the screen. On the side of the pioneer screen bracket you will see 4 holes lined up. Use the last hole marked N to mount the factory brackets to it. You'll need to grind down the little nub on the factory bracket to get it to sit flat in in this spot. Then drill an extra hole under the first one to add a screw to keep is from swiveling. Do this after test fitting. Then you will need to open up the rear most holes a bit to be able to get the brain unit to screw on. If you do this just right the front of the brain unit will sit right against the back of the screen. I used a piece of 3m double sided foam tape to keep it from rattling against the back of the screen. When test fitting the factory brackets have enough flex in them you can kind of manhandle the fine adjustments. I suggest you buy a right angle USB C to A adapter if you plan to connect the factory USB port as the adapter that comes with the unit sticks out too much and is easy to bend.

This picture is of the 5500 but the 6600 mounts the same way.

So you're reusing the factory brackets? I opted for the install kit that Crutchfield suggested. Thanks for the info on the USB plug though.
