Just got my 7600NEX installed by Car Toys in Colorado Springs and couldn’t be happier.
I had a few hiccups that are resolved.
If I leave “Hey Siri” option on wireless AC would lose handshake and disconnect. I turned that feature off on my iPhone and now it syncs on start up and sounds great.
I have just HU -> JBL factory amp/speakers for now.
Also Maestro kit installed works perfect with steering controls.
Had a buzzing noise from high gain so shop recommended adding a LP7 line out converter to condition the signal. They are adding this tomorrow hopefully no more buzz. I got the 7600 because that’s what was in stock and used the same bezel from oem.

How has everyone been connecting the HU to the stock amp (with JBL)?

I have some questions for the tech/electrical savvy guys on here.

I installed my Pioneer 6600 a few weeks ago but since the Germes front camera that used the past two years wasn’t working for me anymore, I just left it disconnected behind the dash. I had some time yesterday and pulled it out.

How would I have to connect it differently?

    This is my setup.
    C7D786FF-7AD1-42E6-B35C-8B6BE3A6A7ED.jpg

Also, I did not cut but simply tape off the wires coming from the camera that are not used. Just in case those are needed.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Perhaps you can remove everything from your truck and take a photo and we can walk you through things?

There is a photo in this post by the ever helpful @svermilyea which explains things visually.

It can be difficult to troubleshoot and explain with words sometimes.

Thanks for posting this again @daveeasa and @svermilyea.

I might have to get a new camera as mine is different from yours, it seems. Could you post a link to the one you used?

This is the one I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078ZZSKQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8

The main difference I see are in these three spots:

    Screen Shot 2021-06-22 at 9.00.38 AM.jpg

My camera only has two and not three cable (#1) which mean I don't have the camera adjustment button (#2) but I don't think that's where the problem lies. Rather than separate cables running into the cab, my camera has a red wire (white line in pic above) that connects to a red wire on the RCA cable (#3) which feeds into the cab and then connects to "+12V out" on the Germes harness. It looks like that's the one you cut ("cut red wire").

Looking at the picture above, it seems I need to cut the red wires I connected in the picture below and run the red and black wires (green arrow below) from my camera into the cab and connect them to the Germes harness for power.

I remember those two wires not being long enough so I will need to extend those to reach into the cab.

The natika is a fine camera. I would run dedicated power and ground from the natika to the germes harness. I would check the camera spec to see if it wants 12v or 6v power. I hate that monster rca cable with the ugly red extra line, I just used a regular yellow rca cable but any rca will work fine. I didn't like the idea of 150000000 ft of coil in my engine bay or kick panel.

But, you can troubleshoot the camera power if it's 12v by going direct to the battery, then see if/how things work. The germes power is one thing, camera power is another. You can live with camera on ignition switched power but you don't want it on constant power. Ideally it feeds off the Germes harness so it's all one collective unit.

Below is a pic of a brand new GERMS unit. I have labled the power and video for your front camera as well as the power for the GERMS unit itself.

Your camera power and ground may be too short so you will need to extend them so they will reach the Germs 12V output power where noted. The GERMS unit itself is powered from the XM module cable from the original ENTUNE setup. If you look at the cable I have pointed to, you will see it is only a 12V hot and ground in that bundle. I cut this connector off and provided it with switched power from the head unit.

I have a great number of items that use the Amp turn on wire from the head unit. As such, I have built a little relay buss bar that is energized by the Amp turn on wire. There is sufficient power in the amp turn on wire from the low power draw of the GERMS controller, so you can use that as the power for the controller.

That's exactly it. I connected the pigtails when I originally hooked up my camera. I will cut them, tape them off and then run dedicated power and ground to the harness.

Thanks so much guys! @daveeasa @svermilyea

Apologies if I overlooked it but where do people tap in for power and ground after cutting off the T to power Germes module?

I got my Germes front camera set all figured out and it works.

    Huge shoutout to @daveeasa and @svermilyea !!!

@svermilyea came in clutch with very helpful pictures and play by play instructions.

Excited that I got to keep the Germes.

I’m having this same issue. I’ve updated the firmware and my iPhone and it’s still there. Does anyone have any insight on what is causing the robotic calls and siri?

That looks great on there. I also have the JBL and it’s lacking volume depending on the source. Some songs are very low in overall loudness. I’m not experienced with stereos so I’m planning on having a local shop replace it all.

I just dealt with this myself. Not very intuitive. You have so scroll down using that scroll bar on the right, then the Next button becomes active. Click that and repeat for the next part of the agreement. Eventually, the checkbox becomes active to complete the process.

I recently installed my Pioneer 6600 but need some help with the Germes unit front camera. Where did you tap the power for the front camera?

    Any help would be appreciated.
