I believe the 360 camera may not be compatible but that’s only off what I’ve skimmed. I would want confirmation from someone who has one before proceeding.

The front camera is another possible concern but easy to resolve if needed by purchasing an aftermarket front camera. I assume maestro RR3 may be the key to some / all of this. I believe I have an RR2 and since my truck is a 2016, I don’t have much to add as far as these two topics.

ETA: I think I made up the RR3 product? Don’t see one listed. I’d want someone with a 2020 or newer and the 360 camera to confirm. I believe there are posts in this thread on the topic. I didn’t pay close attention though so don’t take any of my comments / concerns as facts.

Pulled this from iDataLink's website. Looks like they recently made some software updates. The site will allow you to select your vehicle (JBL or non) and then select the head unit to view available features.

    Hope this helps. (source)

Mod list... Well, my paint is factory.
I just finished the bezel for mine on my 2nd Gen. I used the kit for the 5500 and cut the opening larger for the 9in screen. One problem was that the left side buttons were hard to press because of how close they were to the inner edge of the bezel. I re-contoured the edge to give better access.

Awesome! Any remote chance you might want to do another bezel now that you have the feel? This is the setup I’d like to do as well.

Curious if anyone can confirm if the 360/bird's eye view works with the new software update. A pic would be greatly appreciated!!

Is the unit pretty responsive? Slow/laggy UI is driving me crazy.

I would say it’s pretty responsive.

There’s been a few times where it was unresponsive for a few seconds and I’ve learned not to keep touching the screen because it will remember the presses and execute them all.
It is definitely an improvement over stock unit.

Replace the Germes and power it from either poutlet1 or the blue remote output wire and a factory ground. Works great w this unit, just need to cut and source power since no nav T to steal it.

If you are only powering the front camera, you can use the AMP TURNON (blue with white stripe) on the T02 harness to power the GERMS unit.

If you are bypassing the GeERMS unit (not using it), you power the camera from the same AMP TURNON wire, but you will also have to go into the head unit settings and enable a second camera. Every time you want to use that camera, you will need to enable it from the head unit camera shortcut.

Thanks guys I got it. Was just a grounded wire that needed to be connected. I guess the germes didn’t need to be connected when I installed it years ago. I actually tapped the red accessory wire. But now front camera won’t trigger with the assign hold on call button. May just reflash and try a different front camera activation. Rear camera hold on hang up button works just not front.

How can you live without Germes? @svermilyea is my hero for helping me out with that one. I use it almost every time I drive and I love it extra when it does it's thing for me automatically. It's perfection :)

Yes, just need to supply power and ground to the germes and that requires cutting the harness leads to the T which won't connect directly since they originally T'd in between the etune module and the nav module? Something like that, you'll see there is a red and black wire feeding to a T that has no matching connectors. The other two T's go to the OEM harness upstream of the maestro and work great as-is, no problems at all. So you just cut off that T and strip red and black, then figure out how to source power.
