What is the purpose for the white rope or string around the middle of the tent?

 

not op, but i thought it was to keep the fabric in when you close it. so it doesn't fold over and get stuck outside the tent.

 

Makes sense. I didn't think that.

Finishing up my interior build. It’s about 90%.

 

Have to say these are nice popups. I like the newer wider version. Not too many owners yet but looking forward to seeing the pics when they do start finding their owners.

Your Packout kit caught my eye. I've recently started acquiring Stacktech for a potential 4Runner addition.

 

Other than sliding one of the bed panels toward the rear, is anyone doing anything to prevent the tent sag below the bed panels when closed (blocking rear window)? I was considering running a few pieces of cord to catch the fabric, but wide enough for me to still easily slip through.

 

I don’t have one of these campers, but I do have a lone peak camper. They have some webbing/netting installed on the rear that holds the temp material up out of the way. You might be able to do something like that. A cheap $15 trunk net mounted onto the track inside the camper.

 

i pretty much just slide the bed panel seems to do the trick! im fighting two leaks at the front of the tent ( closest to the back of the cab just ordered new gaskets and butyl tape to see if this will help

 

At the bed rail? Have you removed your topo ever?

 

Any advice for doing a DIY shore power input? Must be nice having that! Was thinking of doing that + a water input

 

Get you a good saw. This is the one i used and was perfect size and cut very clean. Used the NOCO plug. I put a splitter on the end of it inside the cab.

Topo toppers sent me one of their Molle panels to install! Set truck off nicely!

 

Got my badlander back in January I store my 12v fridge in the rear of the access cab so it left plenty of room to do make a mini living space.
Also you can buy them as a blank canvas and do whatever you want for widows/ hatches & insulation, definitely the way to go .
I’ve Been very lucky to have used this thing almost every weekend of the summer and on a road trip to bc.

 

Anyone running the icon rxt or ome leafs with a topo topper? I’ve got a Mesa with an AAL and I’m thinking it’s time to upgrade.

 

Get your total gross vechile weight (build out with h20 and petro full up ) then do your suspention/chassy upgrades .

 

I’ve done that and the icons seem to suit the need since my build out is removed when not in use, but it’s still good to hear peoples experiences.
