FWIW, I contacted them about it, and they claim that they used to outsource the powder coating, but they recently brought it in-house for better QC.

I'm taking that with a grain of salt, but still taking the plunge on a pair based on cost and looks.

For me, The Predator step was an instant No.
    Look wise didn't like it.
Functionality wise I could really see myself/family members hitting it while in daily use or working hnder the truck.

I'd still prefer aluminum or stainless. Don't want to have to worry about rust spreading.

So mine just came in today. I got the wheel to wheel Double Cab in textured black. Did everybody's come with end caps? Or do they not do that anymore. In New England with all the salt and crap. These things will rust out in a year

I asked that question as well. The reply:

Yes they are open to allow the product to breath, if we were to cap or weld shut then it would cause condensation to build up and rust internally

Okay makes no sense. But lifetime on structural and 5 years on finish and such. Fuck it I'll get new steps every 2 years when these rot out. I'm good with that.

welding shut makes no sense. i can see a tight cap potentially causing that issue though. either way, let's hope for the best!

by the way, how long did yours take to arrive? i ordered mine today from runningboardwarehouse.

Unchained. I thought they were supposed to be aluminum. Aren't they?

3" Nfabs came in yesterday, wanted to put them on but the rain hasn't let up at all, hoping to
do it tomorrow. I was surprised at how MUCH bigger the 3" main tube looks, can't wait to get them on there!

I need to figure out what I'm going to to to seal the holes on the end as I don't
    see end caps w/ these.

Installed mine yesterday and yes I was surprised at how big the 3 inch steps were myself. In fact they look to big, but I will say they stick out further than the OEM steps I had on it. Someone's door will not be happy.

    Pics???

hahah, good to know! I've only seen it happen to me once on the old truck; an older woman at the store flung open
her door next to me without a care in the world and hear CLUNK! and thought oh fuk, I'm gonna have to jack Betty up
for dinging my truck :D But she went full force into the nfabs and made a huge dent in her door, did nothing to mine and
she started yelling at ME for damaging her door.... I laughed and just walked away.

thanks man, they look great with your color and that TRD badge is sweet!

I was just looking again at that top angle pic and really expected the main
tube to stick out much more, seems they're not out at all. I think I'll be out there
tomorrow in the AM to get these done.
