    @aturk

    May I ask how wide the hole is in those slots for your mounting bracket?

    Depends on the width of the bolts you use to connect to the t nuts in the bed rail.

    Some guys use metric some use STD

    Gotcha, thought there was a 'standard' T nut and bolt combo used in the bed rails.

    I would not trust that with it only being tied into the bedrail. Seems like there's a lot of potential for flex.

    Funny, we had this same talk in another thread.

    Was asking the OP cause a local wants the same thing so I cut out a mounting bracket just now.

    I'll bring up the warnings considering it's a composite bed but ultimately it's his truck so I'll just offer what I can.

    Yes, if you're hanging the weight of the tire off the bed rail that won't be a great idea. Luckily these aren't. Add a strap and you're covered.

    Added a strap for just a little bit more reassurance. Always gotta use Mac's, sooo much better than anything else out there.

    If I'm in the truck bed and I shake the tire, the entire truck moves, absolutely zero movement from the bed rail itself.

    Was going to say, neat idea on slotting the square tube.

    Local member didn't care for it so I didn't go that route. Either way, your setup is awesome.
