First Tacoma I had was a 2008 TRD Sport (Pre-Runner). Bought it new and ran almost 200k miles with it. Lots of adventures but definitely needed to get a 4x4 to go further so I sold it recently and got myself a TRD Off-Road DCSB 2019. I've been exploring ideas on this forum since I got my first Tacoma but it wasn't until now that I became a member. Great source of information!

Things I will start with on the 1st phase of this project:

    1. @KB Voodoo's ALUMINUM TACO MAX 14" High Toyota Tacoma Bed Rack - wanna do some custom accessories to the bed rack with 8020.net for my paddle boards, surf boards, tools, etc. Also will add a ~3 gallons water reservoir (haven't thought about the options to do it yet) to help clean all my gear. I recently exchanges some emails with Chad and I am looking forward to acquire these racks. His replies were super fast and even though PR is not on the dropdown list for shipping, he mentioned that he will make sure they will arrived!
    2. @C4 Fabrication's Rock DCSB 16+ Tacoma Rock Sliders with Step Plates and DOM Tubing - still debating in my head if I should go with DOM tubing or not but definitely going with the step plates to its easier for the kids. Recently exchanged some emails with Kylie about shipping to Puerto Rico and almost fainted when found out shipping is almost 40% of the order. I am adjusting my budget because I will need to get those powder coated after they arrived to extend their life span. Life near the beach gets everything rusted so either I get this power coated and take very well care of them or I find another option in aluminum (I haven't seen sliders in aluminum; I guess because steel is stronger than aluminum).

2nd Phase will like to do:

    3. Tonneau Cover - Haven't done much search but from what I've found so far I like BAKFlip MX4. If anyone recommends any one tonneau cover that will work with the @KB Voodoo's Bed Rack, please let me know. Preferably something "hard to break" to make "life harder" to anyone who tries to break into it.
    4. New Rims and Tires - Haven't done much search either but I read that lifting the truck to put bigger tires will require lots of adjustments on calibration and consequently more money. Any suggestions are always welcome. Will like to go with black rims though even if I don't size up the tires.

Living on an island makes shipping costs way more expensive so I wanna be extra careful with buying high quality products that will be long lasting on a life near the beach. Any help from you guys on finding high quality products will be much appreciated. Looking forward to get this truck to fit my needs...

    Congrats on the new Tacoma!

For rims research Toyota's TRD PRO SEMA rims in 17" (PTR20-35110-BK). These wheels are hub ecentric and have less issues when balancing.

For tires stay with 265/70 17R size, they are the largest you can use with no rubbing at factory height.

    Fresh gas.
Are you using the sliders for actual sliders? Heavy duty use...?

Because if you aren't, there ARE aluminum sliders. They probably won't do severe duty though. They're from GreenLane Offroad.

Awesome looking new truck! You’ll love it. As mentioned above the TRD wheels would be a great choice, but I’d personally go with the 16” TRD pro wheels or beadlock wheels. In that case I’d go with 265/75r16 tires, look into Falken Wildpeak A/T3W’s, the SL version. They’re not expensive, work great for snow and light to medium trails, and won’t effect your MPG dramatically.

What a surprise another cement, sorry just a bit jaded with what I thought would be a more exclusive color becoming everyone's choice for good reason, congrats on the new rig!

@MtnFisher Those looks nice! I've been debating between 17" or 16" but will go with TRD Pro wheels for now. Thanks for the heads up on the tire size as well to @WSchafer on the tire size for the 16".

@Colin_R6 First ones I see on aluminum. I don't think I'll be doing "heavy duty use" too much but definitely there will be moments that the extra strength to impacts will be nice to have (just in case). On the other hand, the truck will be exposed to salt of the ocean breeze daily and the benefits of not rusting will be definitely become a benefit over time. Thanks for pointing me on the right direction. Need to think about this more before putting the order.

@TacoBuffet I know man, this color caught my attention since it came out. Like you said, it has become everyone's choice but when you're spending a significant amount of money on a new rig, you wanna make sure you will like it forever. Silver and sand were the next on the list but gotta admit that cement with all black accessories makes my jaw drop!

    UPDATE:

I installed the @KB Voodoo Max Modular ALUMINUM TACO MAX 14" and so far it's been really good. All the pieces were delivered without damage. So far, I've used it for moving stuff and it has been an amazing tool. I am now going to order the MAX Modular Bed Rack Tonneau Brackets and install the RETRAXONE MX truck bed cover. Thanks @KB Voodoo for such a good product!
