Hey guys new to the forum I’ve owned 2 1st gen Tacoma’s back in 2004, one was totaled at 11k miles it was an 04 ext cab Trd 4x4 v6 and the second was an 04 double cab trd prerunner v6. I’ve also owned a 2011 tundra 4x4 trd. I’ve recently been on the hunt for another 1st gen 4 door 4x4 with low miles and after 6 months of searching I came across a 2001 4 dr prerunner. Not exactly what I wanted (2wd with a 2.7) but with 58k miles and one owner for $7500 I couldn’t pass it up. My intentions are to do the 4x4 swap as well as many more mods in the future. Any input on that would be greatly appreciated and FYI if I could have found a clean 4x4 (without frame rust or obvious rust cover up) I would have bought one. I was willing to drop upwards of $15k for one of these with 100k or less miles but never found one worth buying. This one was local to Alabama its entire life so absolute zero rust/rust cover up.

It's cleannnnnn, congrats. Sold my 03 151k miles prerunner for 13.5k and it was this clean as well. Great trucks.
