**New Purchase Alert**

Well wishes folks! I’ve bin on a hunt for my 1st Tacoma for a while now. I found one that I may pull the trigger on, & would love to hear what you guys think. I do live in the rust belt so I do have to check on that frame (no photos of frame yet)
It’s a 2nd gen, most likely a trade in at a dealership.

•119,000 miles
•3 owners Doesn’t have the lockers or the 6speed I wanted ow so dearly, however color is perfect, has the supercharger with pretty good miles. For what I feel is a good price.

This is a second gen Tacoma, for the record. It looks pretty clean, but pictures of the frame and the supporting steel mounts for things will tell the tale.

What year is this? The grill tells me it is not second GEN but 2.5.

 

That’s practically the same truck as mine. I have the 6speed, different wheels, slightly different topper, and less miles. I love mine, sorry it’s not for sale. But I highly recommend it, it’s a great truck, it checks all the boxes for me! Oh I don’t have the supercharger.

 

Sounds like a steal of a deal. The grainy photos are weird tho.

That six speed tho!!!! Lol it’s like dating, always looking for the perfect truck. Trying to find everything you want in one, but some compromises have to be made.

Are you in the rust belt. Or if not, is the truck from the rust belt? Even on the blurry photos I can see rust on many of the engine bay bolts. I’d expect that on a truck that’s near the coast or rust belt so I’m curious about the frame.

 

Yes. I’m in Connecticut. Truck is in Maine. The dealer is sending photos of the undercarriage now.

 

If it's from Maine, It's going to be crusty.

Make sure you evaluate it in person. MANY dealers will paint the frame black to hide rust.
