I've been thinking about those too. I had the same concern but I think I'm over it. If you upgrade let me know what you decide to do with your stage 1's!!! I might buy if I haven't snagged a set by then.

I've spent a small fortune modifying this truck. Katzkin leather, Wheels, Tires & Leveling Kit. Bakflip G2 Bed Cover. All LED lights, interior, high & low beams, fogs. MESO V4 Ultimate Blinkers, Puddle Lights. OEM Pro Grille. OEM Trd Cat-Back Exhaust. OEM Predator Steps. This is an old pic but my favorite. I've removed all badges and put on vinyl matte black badges.

Went full led. Finally found decent ones for the high beams, which I was still missing. Bright as hell too. I do get some hyper flashing on the turn signals, but I kind of like it :notsure:

Looks great! What did you go with for low and high beams? I have the hikari for lows, and I love them. Didn’t think led could be so good, better then the halogen h11s and the h9s I compared. Hikari really made them well to work with our projectors housings.

I have the Hikari for the high beams and Lasfit for low beams. I had the Lasfits laying around from my previous car, since they were the same type I just threw them on there. They're pretty good for low beams.

Very nice, I love those Hikari LEDs, how are they for the highs? I was thinking about buying another set soon for the highs.

They are bright as hell. I like that you can rotate a little to try and get the best angle off of the mirrors. Very happy with that purchase

They still light up fine, but I do see water droplets in them after a hard rain or going through the carwash. The heat from the sun dries them out pretty quick and they do light up. I'm not sure if they are supposed to be water tight/waterproof.
    Anybody else see this?

Installed my lights today. That video was extremely helpful on the wiring part. I’ve never wired an add a fuse before but it was pretty simple. Thanks for the help.

The outside lights clipped right in and were very snug. The middle light was loose so I wrapped it with some electrical tape and now it’s snug. $38 off eBay then got an add a fuse for $8 from Advanced Auto so not that much $ for a cool mod.

Hey guys I figured out how to make the grille lights turn on only when the DRL turn on. Mine turn on on all positions of the headlights switch except when I have the headlights switch to everything off. You just need to use 2 diodes to make it work..

I went ahead and created a schematic of the circuit that will make the grille lights turn on anytime the DRL lights turn on or the headlights turn on. So pretty much at all times except when the headlights switch is completely turned off, that is how I have mine right and they work flawless. I learned that when the green wire is hot, the pink wire is off and vise versa. The DRL has two modes, day mode and night mode which is why it needs two wires. When you turn on the headlights the DRL get dimmed (power from the pink wire) and when you turn on the DRL only (power from the green wire) without the headlights they are brighter for the day. To make the grilled lights work anytime the DRL turn on you need to get power from both wires which is why you kind of have to short circuit both green and pink wires. The diodes prevent the short circuit from happening because it "blocks" the power from the green wire that would otherwise go to the pink wire when it should be off, and vise versa. If you do not use the diodes you will be short circuiting the two wires and your parking lights will always turn on when you have the DRLs ON. I used the 1N5818 diodes because the grille lights draw approximately 0.50 Amps (I measured it with a multimeter) and they are more than perfect for the amount of current drawn. These diodes should not get hotter than 110 degrees F even in the summer for the amount of power being drawn, I already made the calculations. I got them from Amazon, here is the link for the ones I got, it is a small kit:
    https://www.amazon.com/QLOUNI-200pc...rtment+Kit&qid=1560824764&s=hi&sr=1-1-catcorr

I just had to solder everything and it worked. This is the schematic:

    Grille Lights Circuit.png

    I hope this helps guys!

I used similar wiring, but I guess my AC utility package utilizes the DRL line for driver side turn signal. So with the above wiring my LEDs would blink the same time my left turn signal was on.

I ended up running 3 diodes. 1 for the Driver side DRL 1 for passenger side DRL, and 1 for the parking lights.
