    Good evening,

    Hi everyone this is Sonny.....
I just wanted to clear up a few things and make sure
that everything is out on the table...
Jon is no longer with Downsouth Motorsports and it was not an
ugly break-up...I have known Jon since he was a kid working for me
along time ago as a warehouse guy...I decided to make some changes and
needed to get back to doing what I do best, taking care of my customers and being more hands on.Jon will always be a friend on mine no matter what and I have made it a point to look after him and I have offered to help him with whatever he needs help with...As long as he does not start selling shocks...HA,HA,HA:)
Sorry just trying to lighten things up a bit..
Anyway I wish Jon all the best and he knows I an here to help him..
Downsouth Motorsports will continue to do business as usual
and as always make sure our customers come first...

    Thank you for your time...
    Sonny

question for all you suspension savvy guys...

I have the 6" procomp kit with the 6" COs.

looking at the kit, it keeps the CV angles EXACTLY stock... now the 3" guys, when they crank their COs a bit, they get a higher CV angle, but is still manageable upto about 2.5" i believe.

I have been looking at my kit, I dont think i need a full 6" drop bracket to run my 6" lift.

My question is this, Can i run these RCD 4.5" Brackets and still use my 6" COs to be sitting at 6" of lift, only with my bracket only dropped 4.5"??

My Lower Control arms would be mounted 1.5" higher, creating a bit more CV angle, but nothing too extreme, and I would have higher GC up front.

what do you professionals think about this idea? furthermore, would it be possible to even mount these RCD brackets after having the PC brackets on for so long?

Does anybody have an idea when the RCD lift will be available to the public? Also will it work with the new 09' 4x4s?

Nice suspension kit - looks exactly the same as the Snake Racing 4" suspension kit we have had here for the current generation of hilux's for a few years now.

Best part of this kit is you do not have to cut the crossmembers like the 6" lifts do...big plus.

so what does your kit sell for if I may ask?

and is there any chance of just purchasing the front and rear drop bracket off the front suspension and the extended spindle by itself.

Id like to adapt this to my current 3 inch suspension kit onmy hilux if possible.

    Thanks mate.

It would work, Ive seen a hilux with the same setup here, he had a 4" Snake Racing Lift, same as your setup which drops everything 4 inches and he fitted almost 2 inch longer coil overs to angle the cv's and lower control arms the same as a 2" lift would, but he was sitting at a good 5inches of lift or so.

    Heres some pics-
    [IMG]

He is running 285's in the pics above but with some trimming could have run 35's....

Its the same reason why Ive been searching for ages for a 2" drop bracket lift but nobody makes em.....a 2inch drop bracket lift with 3" of suspension ontop would give you a 5 inch lift with 3" of more clearance under the diff than a 6" lifted drop bracket lift Taco on 35's.....

its the clearance under the front diff that helps you offroad, and by dropping the diff 2 inches, would also assist you with running 35's with some slight bodymount trimming.....

Im telling ya, it would be a seller, but nobody else sees my point of view.

may just have to design a kit meself. Not dissin' yours, its a great kit, but a 2" wouldnt need to lateral bars for stability going backwards onto the chassis rails, would be cheaper and more practical offroad.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

totally dude! it seems it would be way smarter to drop the bracket as little as possible. like you said a 2" drop would allow for about 4.5-5 inches of lift, while still being strong.

I dont get why fabtech and procomp thought they had to drop the bracket so damn far.

Where else would they put their logo so that you could read it from 100 yards? 6" IFS lifts are about the bling, not functionality.
