For some odd reason that bumper is sold under at least 3 different names on Amazon. Same price and same photos used. If this had been posted by a new member I would be suspicious. Ebay bumper suspicious.

Have that same bumper and love it. Weighs about double over the stock bumper. SSO hybrid slimline front bumper on order.

How's it compare to some of the more expensive USA built bumpers as far as material and craftsmanship? The welds don't look amazing but also not terrible. Pretty hard to f up MIG welds, though.

I'm looking for a simple but stout bumper to use as a start to build a swing out for a grilling/food station. Attachment to the truck and overall rigidity is what I'm mostly interested in. Not sure how much those things change from one bumper to another.

I give a basic review with photos in post #11

Short summary: Acceptable bumper for a decent price, would not bash on rocks.

Appreciate that. Looks like I probably don't want to cantilever 50lbs on a 30" arm off of the corner of that thing. Probably won't do any rock bashing here in the Great Lakes but recovery out of a mud hole or sand is very possible.

"I'm gonna have to say no, dawg."

Seeing as it’s forty pounds heavier than the stock bumper what does that do to the rear springs?

I assume the same thing that every other heavy duty aftermarket bumper does... Compresses then a little more.

excellent bumper! I put the Body Armor rear bumper on mine.Similar look and price.I like this one better because of the license plate lights. On mine I used LED bolt lights. They are okay but not great in quality... my bumper has been on for
years now and still looks good.

What does that one look like? I haven't found a front bumper I like yet... Everything I've seen leaves the front end really exposed and unfinished looking...

It's basically like having my 5 year old daughter stand in the bed... Would you really notice a difference?

I'm a real person. You can look up my posts from years ago with my '01 Tacoma. I'm not selling anything. I just wanted people to see this because I think it's a pretty good buy for the price.

Yes, there are stronger, beefier ones out there, but I didn't want to pay $800+ for one. I'm probably never gonna use the recovery points if I get stuck or need to pull anyone out. I've always used the receiver hitch for that anyways. It's a stronger point to pull from.

They had a sale coupon attached to it and also signed up for the Amazon visa which gave me another $100 off.

My Pelfrybilt was the same, if not a hair lighter, than the stock bumper I took off (tow pkg). Stock bumpers ain't exactly light.

Looks like an SOS concepts knockoff. Except,SOS builds the hitch into the bumper. I can't recall, but I don't think I paid more than $500 a few years back for mine. Oh,and the rear bumper with factory hitch is HEAVY. It wasn't any lighter than the SOS bumper.

The bumper is very light. Its the tow bar that gets heavy. This is a bumper only, needs the tow bar to attach to your truck. The Pelfreybilt replaced the towbar

That’s why I said “if you were a new member”. I see you’ve been here for years. I agree it’s a good price, I just wondered why it’s sold under 3 brands on Amazon.

Here's what it looks like. I wont be getting the hitch option so just a blanking plate there. This one is about 45 pounds and offers more direct front protection.

I like it. It's more like a "bull bar" though. I was talking about a front bumper that replaces the entire stock front bumper. I just haven't found one that I like yet vs the factory one. Most of them I've seen are either too bulky or are more of a "prerunner style" with small bars that always look too unfinished for my taste.
