New rear wheel bearings feel tight

Hey guys, just had a shop press out my old wheel bearings on the rear of my 04 DCSB and press new ones on. I haven’t got the axles back in yet the housing yet, but I noticed how hard these new bearings feel to turn compared to my old ones that spun very freely when I took the axle out. Is this normal? Do the bearings have to just wear in? Thanks in advance.

I take it your old bearings were worn and needed replaced so they would have been quite loose.

Your saying it takes more strength to turn the new bearings on the axle compared to before they were installed?

What brand bearings could come into play!
