So I got a Gentex mirror with autodim, compass, and temp today. I wired it up and everything with the mirror is working fine. Now my windows won't work, my dome light is acting up with the locks, my ABS, parking brake, and rear diff warning lights are on, my A/C is acting up... I'm at my wits end. The mirror is working perfectly. I tried unplugging the mirror, powering it through a different wire. Nothing is working. Does anyone have any clue how to fix this?!

I left the battery disconnected all night. Maybe that will correct it. Any other ideas??

I'm assuming your '08 didn't come with autodim and the console temp/compass. If this was a clean install, I'm going out on a limb to ask how you put the wire through the firewall. Did you use the large grommet? Did you by chance maybe, just maybe short a wire or two when doing so? Or, did you make a clean routing for the temp sensor. Did you also do a test before putting everything in place, ie. finalizing your install. Hard to know what you did without a pic or two showing what you did or a better explanation of how you did it.

I just installed the combo mirror in my '14 and had no problems. Give us some details to help you out.

You are correct. I went through the large grommet, cut it to fit snug. Everything was clean, secured and how it should be. I thought. I looked in the interior fuse box and most of the fuses show signs of arcing. I'm having it towed to the dealership now with most likely a voided warranty.

So it turns out that it was a blown fuse. Cheap enough fix. Hooked the mirror back up and powered it through a different source and everything's working fine now.
