Gotta take my Tacoma and my Prius in for software updates. :(

Did Toyota get their software from Microsoft? :)

Dang, missed a few, but finally got hit on this one...

"Safety Recall E0F (E1F) Preliminary Notice - Certain 2012 and 2013 Model Year Tacoma Vehicles and Certain 2012 Model Year RAV4 Vehicles - Brake Actuator Reprograming"

"At the present time, Toyota is currently preparing the remedy?
What is the condition? The integrated system providing enhanced vehicle control, including features like Anti-Lock Braking (ABS), Traction Control (TRAC), and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), can intermittently become inoperative and illuminate one or more warning lamp(s) due to an electrical circuit condition. If this occurs, the ABS, TRAC and VSC functions could become inoperative increasing the risk of a crash.

If these driver support systems are disabled, standard braking operation is fully functional.

When will the Remedy be Available: The remedy procedures will be provided to each dealership in the near future. At which time, Toyota will notify owners of covered vehicles by first class mail. Additional information will be posted on this site once the remedy is available."

You might have entered a number 0 in your VIN as the letter O? I did that at first when entering my VIN and it said invalid, but changed what I thought was the letter O to the number 0, and then it accepted it and showed my correct truck.

They sure do try to make VIN's as hard as possible to remember. Especially when mixing O's and 0's.

I went to the dealership today on the way to the hardware store and my vehicle is on the list for recall. The dealership does not have the proper software at this time to do the recalls, and their service manager didnt even know what I was talking about. Complete morons down there.

They said letters will be sent out when they are ready to start fixing vehicles..

It bothers me when manufacturers know about a defect but wait until there are casualties to do a recall.
