Not to rain on your parade, but did you test for a leak or just figured you didn't have one because the tire stayed inflated? Keep an eye on the tire. You could have a slow leak that will take a couple of days to rear it's ugly head, and I would hate for you to end up having to change a tire on the side of the road.

Yes i have to Toyo open country AT3 tires. The tires that come stock with the truck sucked!!!! I got a nail in them and boom, flat tired. It sucks when you get off work after a 12 hour shift at 3am to find that one of your tires is deflated. That was a nightmare..

After that experience, I bought rims I really liked and the AT3s. No regrets!!! Better ride quality and def feel a difference in grip and feel more confident in inclement weather.

The problem i have is that i have only 2 local places that i trust not to bugger up my aluimiuim rims to repair flat! So that means put spare on and wait to weekend to go fix.....have plenty of old tire shop near me but when you see there outdated equipment....you cringe:annoyed:
Not to mention there reviews that state if you have newer vehicles with fancy rims...STAY AWAY!!!!

Yeah i was also very careful going to a shop that specializes in rims. Wanted to make sure my enkeis didn't get damaged when they were mounting them. Worth it to pay some extra cash to make sure they don't get damaged.

Was the nail in the tread and long enough to penetrate through at the angle it was at? If so did they put slime in it? Otherwise not possible for a nail to penetrate and not have at bare minimum a slow leak.

Slime?! Not sure what you mean? If your referring to slime quick tire fix? Then no? Nail was pulled out! (Nail about 3/4-1" long).... Was it long enough to go thru? (Not sure) since tires are new and have plenty of A/T tread..not sure how thick the tread is..but like i said used soapy water on area and no visible leakes....and tire still has same psi....
Everyday i tell the tire im watching you:rofl:

On a new tire it is very unlikely that it went through unless it was at a perfect 90 degree angle. You got lucky and oh that is a good feeling.

Lucky indeed! I ran over a sizable screw with new KO2's on a ZJ and you could hear the air hissing out of the tire. It went flat in less than a few minutes.

Just sayin', Aluminum wheels have been popular for many years as they are not new. I had aluminum wheels in the 1970's so yes, old equipment still works well. Just make sure shop cares about their work.
