used to run 40:1 in my green machine. ran like a champ.

always used chainsaw bar oil on my chain too, get a good jug pretty cheap plus its nice and thick and lubricates well;)

that'll work, but might be a little messy if you over oil it.

A good bike to start on would be a CR125R 2-stroke.:D That was the bike I had to learn on.. It got old really quick... Only weighing 125lbs I could haul butt! I sold the bike a few months ago. I think the next bike I will get will either be a 250 2-stroke or a 450 4-stroke.

I will get an hour meter before I ride it again. I have only ridden it twice and probably about 20 minutes each time. For a top end I've heard different things about Wiseco?

psh, I ran a ball hone through the cylinder a few times and slapped it back together. I am amazed that thing didn't blow in the first harescramble with the new piston, there was a 1/4 mile long, extremely steep deep sand hill on which I had the bike pinned in 3rd gear for about 45 seconds straight lol. It was blowing coolant out of every orifice at the top but it kept on going! (past all the overheated dead 4 strokes)

its great because if it blows, 300 bucks and you have a new bike (assuming most parts are still good.)

I guess I just like the lug of a 450 and not having to keep the bike screaming to go fast.....yeah its easier but I don't care haha.

I used to think 2 strokes were kind of at a disadvantage in some ways until I bought my 250sx. That thing pulled harder off the bottom then my bro's 2010 yz450f. He even agreed lol. I want that engine in his frame...
