I just got my 09 tacoma, and want to put some new rims on it without changing it too much from stock. I like the XD series rockstar rims in black. 4wheel parts said I would have to go with the 18" wheels, with nitto 285/65 tires. Total price about $1800. I don't know if those would be too high without any lift, or if they would rub. Any advice?

    wat?
u'd need 3" of lift minimum and u can use a 17" or some 16" wheels, but i doubt those come smaller than an 18

Welcome, nice choice on wheels/tires. Check out the Wheels & Tires area of the forum, lots of great info there http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/ .

I checked out those rims and I don't think I could find them under 18's, but some people around here have them on their trucks with lifts and they look good. I have Moto Metal 17's with Nitto 265/70/17 without a lift and minor rubbing with full turns, but other have fit them without any rubbing, that's the biggest you can go without a lift or major cutting.
