    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share my new roof rack that I designed and installed and have been testing for roughly the last 7 months.

    - Aluminum sides, wind fairing and cross bars.
    - Steel mounting brackets.
    - 2 stage black powder coat

Looks like OP skipped the middle mount?

that is correct on the one pictured. I did some testing and compared to other racks with the middle support. And there was no noticeable difference. I even added my panels to the top and stood on it and had no deforming or issues with the rack.

I noticed that as well; I'm sure the mounting feet aren't anything super revolutionarily different from Prinsu-style, but definitely like to see DIY solutions.

This is correct. There are only so many ways to make mounting brackets and they all seem to work well no matter what company you go with.

Also the way most racks mount is going to be more than strong enough for 98% of those who actually use them.

No leaks. Hardly any wind noise.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Looks good -nice job

I would personally prefer all the hardware to be black in order to blend in better. Easy enough to rectify.

Thanks. And yes I did. I’m actually the owner of RADO Designs. Been mostly making parts for 4Runner for the past few years. Recently I’ve expanded into some Tundra products. Now I’ve started on roof racks for Tacomas. I have made bed racks, ditch light brackets and bed stiffeners for the tacomas as well.

Have to check out the website I need some bed stiffness and maybe one day I will put a roof rack on but have a lot of plans before that will happen
