New rotors and brakes

    So I think it’s about time for new rotors, and while I’m at it I’ll do the brakes as well just because. Currently have OEM rotors with TRD pads. I’ve got the steering wheel shimmy pretty bad when the brakes are hot, so I know they are warped. My question is, stick with this same setup, or go slotted rotors?? I’m not interested in drilled, I know the problems with that. And I’ll stay WAY away from cheep eBay junk. What does everyone think??

    For a little more you can do the 2015 TRD Pro 4Runner brake upgrade too, I went that route with the backplate replacements and everything and absolutely love the brake performance it brought. Stainless braided brake lines help a lot too.

    I just replaced the rotors and pads at 144k miles with OEM. I could have been cool and upgraded but the OEM’s worked for me and should last another 100k miles.

    Just get quality blanks and pads. Have the fluid flushed and changed to a high quality synthetic high temp fluid. Slotted isn't worth the extra money for a pickup.
