But hey... who am I to judge.. to each their own. Y'all have fun mashing refresh on your keyboard tonight only to go back to looking at other peoples' wheels on Instagram where all the people with 30k followers managed to get their hands on a set even though you didn't.

If anyone needs me I'll be out wheeling on my FNs that were in stock when I decided to buy them. (insert troll emoji here).

I dont get the complaints, yes its hard to get the wheels but not that bad. Last month I decided to get my 3rd set, this time for my 3rd gen. All I did was seat by the computer at 8:58, add them to my cart right at 9 and pay rigth away. The people that keep saying they cant get them, I honestly think is because they do not want too.

Unrelated to inventory but related to SCS wheel question:

When I sold the stock wheel takeoffs after receiving the SCS, I gave the lug nuts away with them since SCS wheels require their own lug nuts. If I ever get a flat, will the fifth wheel (still stock) support the SCS/spline lug nuts?

I don't have any issue with being quick on the keyboard. My issue is with SCS claiming the stealth indigo "blurple" finish would be dropped /released in the fall of 2021. Here were are going into spring 2022. Shit or get off the pot @SCSPerformance. Either release them or quit pulling the bait and switch/ over promise under deliver crap.

I'm looking at other options at this point and will likely have something painted or powder-coated. To the rest of ya'll waiting for the 2-3 sets of black or copper whatever tonight have fun. *Door slam...:burp:

I guess they’d work in a absolute pinch but I wouldn’t go far. IDK Might damage the ET portion too.

Their response to someone on Instagram about those wheels was essentially, “we are waiting to know when they arrive as well”

That seems like a big cop out. I don’t have any problem with them being hard to get(got my set 1st try) but I am upset that they just play dumb. Like you really don’t know where your order of wheels are? Did you even order a set of that color or are they still on the drawing board? No one will ever know.

That's been my issue as well. I got a new(er) Tacoma and wanted some bronze BR6's in 16". After going over their last number of Insta "stock notifications" I didn't see much of any 16" wheels being released from any model lineup. I sent them an email just seeing if they had an approximate timeframe for when I could expect to keep an eye out for some (I would have been 100% happy with something like "Q4 2022 approximately"), but saying they have no idea and "just keep a close eye on our Instagram" is a horrifically bad business answer. No email notification option, the most basic of setups. The hype game is cool for them while it lasts, but it's poor business. I refuse to work that hard to GIVE them MY money. Granted, it doesn't look like they are trying to blow the doors off of their growth potential either, so maybe it just is what it is for them.

That said, I think they make the sleekest wheels out there, and I scored some bronze BR6's (17's unfortunately) off of a local FB group, so I still got almost exactly what I wanted. I was totally ready to buy a set of Race Relations wheels, and just got lucky on the timing of getting them used, as SCS wasn't going to get my money directly.

Things have been like this for years, works fine business wise for them. I like having wheels you won’t see on a Dodge or Ford.
Another option, you can order from a dealer and skip the hassle of waiting

Except no dealer has SCS wheels in stock anymore.

Funny that @SoCOTaco mentioned buying from Facebook marketplace or private party. I've seen several sets pop up for sale in various colors/designs and they sell within a day or less no matter the condition.

SCS needs to have the option for the customers to custom order or back order. I'm guessing the issue is likely with SCS's supplier/manufacturer or SCS is underfunded and can only afford to order wheels in small batches. Likely the first through as any legitimate business can get a loan.

At any rate, I think this creates an excellent business opportunity for another company to design their own wheels and take over the sales that SCS can't fulfill. Anyone on the forum have connections, experience with CAD design, or want to start a business? I'd be open to the idea!

I will say the forum is rather picky about who they let in as official vendors. I'm surprised SCS gets to keep their status on here with the constant bait and switch and over promise and under deliver business tactics. Even with the current global slowdown and supply chain problems. Just saying. :notsure::boink:
