    Anyone running the -25mm offset wheels on their second gen? I’ve got them mounted on skinnies (265 85 r16s). Getting some rubbing when in reverse or hitting bumps while turning

    got an opinion from a local off-road shop and they suggested that a cab mount chop may not do enough to fix the rubbing as I would only gain about a quarter inch and that a cab mount relocation is a pain in the butt. They suggested getting new upper control arms to change the caster (I believe)

    thoughts?

    Many threads in here talk about negative offset wheels and how you need to probably do both in order to clear the tires from rubbing. That’s why many people choose an offset closer to 0. A lift will not affect your clearance hitting the cab mount.

    You should get aftermarket upper control arms to push the wheel as forward as possible and then see if you still need to chop the cab mount. Or you can do both at the same time. Or you can get different offset wheels.

    Most aftermarket UCAs have caster built in which moves the wheel rearward towards the firewall. The only way to move the wheel forward is to increase caster in the LCA (or replace the LCA mounts or get high caster LCAs)
