I def plan to upgrade to 5th gen runner brakes to help for when I got with dirties. Gonna need extra power for those tires, so 17s it is!

I bought my lug nuts, shown above, and wanted the locks too but I couldn't find any information to confirm that they were the extended thread nuts. If you look closely at the image they just have the standard tapered seat end and not the extension after it.

Are people able to use these safely anyway with the SCS wheels?

    Thanks.
    Rob

    Rob,

I currently have them on and they fit and torque down with no issues...

    Rick,
Thanks for the info! And if I haven't said it lately, your service :oldglory: as well. Regardless who's in charge I sure do love my freedom!

Anyway, so are they shorter than the spline lugs and if so how much and does it look silly short?

I have the splines and I guess the wheels are pretty thick because I expected them to stick out farther but they really don't. I guess more security is worth the little bit of vanity sacrifice.

    Thanks again.
    Rob

    Rob,

Those locks from Gorilla will work out great with the wheels and match well with your regular lugs. Unfortunately, no one makes an ET spline lugs. We would have to order a gazillion sets to entice our manufacture to make them for us.

Thanks Vin, you know how vain I am and OCD.....knowing one is shorter than the others would make me insane LOL. Just kidding. I think I am going to order up some. Better safe than sorry. You have any in stock? Rather buy them from you.

We don't sell locks so Amazon is your best bet. Once they are torqued down, the length is pretty much the same from a visual standpoint.

Young, HA! Yea, it's like a steal trap. Only problem is, most of the time it's rusted shut....

    Rick,
Yea, I ordered them yesterday, Prime shipping so I can get them on before we head down to the beach next Wednesday. I should be ok but it is a resort beach town and there's still some crime.

    Thanks again!
