The lack of inventory definitely swayed my purchase. I originally wanted Ray 10s, my close second choice was Method Grids. With SCS struggling to keep anything in their inventory it was an easy decision to go with Methods.

But didn't I also read they're expanding or moving and will be able to meet more demand soon?

I have heard similar about a new location that can House more. I scored my gold rays from a fellow member that luck just worked out right, but man to me I could just never get into the methods. I’m sure I would have just bought some quality headlocks if I had to wait long enough.

I'm equally concerned about discontinued wheels/specs. Don't get me wrong, I love the 'custom' concept. But there has to be some kind of answer when a wheel or two is damaged. Surely it can't be "there may or may not be more wheels produced of that type"?

The designs are great, but does the price reflect the lack of 'inventory on hand' and the related dealer/distributor mark-up? I'm not trying to simply stir shit. Just a question. If you can't reliably and relatively promptly get a replacement then perhaps the price should reflect that. Still, great wheels.

Or maybe I am missing something. Let's say I buy a set and then someone pulls out in front of me, damaging the right front wheel. If I can't get a replacement will insurance buy a new set? Or am I looking at replacing on my own. Perhaps I am over thinking this and I would simply need to pony up to replace the other 3 that insurance would not if for whatever reason my spec wheel was discontinued or unavailable.

I would suggest you buy 5 at least. If you can afford it, 6. I bought 5. I may buy another one when I get the chance. Mine are Brushed Copper so definitely not something I can run to NTB or wherever to buy. SOme dealerships carry these wheels though. For some reason, most are closer to California. I rarely hear of any here on the Right coast.

I don't think you are over thinking, i was thinking the same thoughts when shopping for wheels. I plan on purchasing a 5th wheel and full size tire and i am happy to know i wont have to wait for who knows how long to get it.

Yep I scored 4 golds the evening AFTER their Dec release day. Then a blemished gold shortly after, for a spare. And saw they had 2 more blemished available recently. So its not entirely a shit show. Just gotta be patient and watch closely. I imagine it'll only get better when they move and expand.

Once you place an order, what is the typical shipping time? Few days, week or 2...? Or more?

I already told my co-workers on the 14th at 759 our time I will be out of commission for work as I just sit here and hit refresh. One can only hope!
