Purchased a new 2017 Taco to replace a 2016 that looked close to the same until it was totaled during a hiking trip to Oregon last September. Plan to do a number of upgrades and mods such as Pop n Lock for tailgate, custom LED Bed lighting with remote control, custom rear camera setup for towing an RV without having to rely on side mirrors, seal the truck bed to prevent dust buildup. Have already added Ionic side rails, OEM Honeycomb XSP Aluminum Grill, Mudflaps, all weather floor mats, LED interior and fog lights, TRD Exhaust tip and other minor mods.

Picture is on post but profile picture is way too small. I have to see what it takes to make it full size. There have been a lot of post about the differences between the 2016 and 2017 being only the electric rear window. I have notice a couple of other subtle changes that Toyota made between the 16 and 17. They finally wised up and made the tailgate lock the same as the door locks so you don't need a separate key for the tailgate. They also modified the support posts for the tailgate cables. It appears that they are now adjustable to a small extent. On my 2016 the dealer spent a couple of hours trying different cables and could never get two to work without slack in one of them. It looks like Toyota realized the problem and now has some adjustment for these cable posts. I am currently working on a post to try and eliminate all the dust that accumulates in the bed of the truck if you have a tonneau cover installed. Toyota did a lousy job of keeping the dust out of the truck bed if you have a cap of tonneau cover installed. I took pictures and hope to post tomorrow.2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road 01.jpg 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road 02.jpg 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road 03.jpg P1060283.jpg
