    Welcome to TW!!

    Enjoy your new addiction.

Thank you for the service (that goes for all you veterans as well!) I am willing to admit that I don't have the guts to do what you guys (and gals) do everyday. And for that I give you my upmost respect and gratitude.

    Come home safe!

men, thanks for the kind words. i have the best job on earth. i dont know how to be a civilian anymore, im afraid.

sapper - i am an ordnance officer. i work at the ammo supply point (ASP) as per my MOS and in garrison, handling, acquiring, and transporting high explosives. here in afghanistan, dont ask me how i got this job but, i am the platoon leader of 88M's and 13B's and run a QRF platoon. we also do security escorts for senators and VIPs when they need to go somewhere. i am an ordnance officer and have NO 91 series soldiers. its all FA and transporters... and 89Bravos (ammo handlers). my company is a part of the brigade support battalion but Golf company (my unit) is attached to 1st battalion, 6th field artillery regiment - the oldest FA unit in the United States Army. so when the gun bunnies need ammo to firing points, we draw it at the ASP and run it to them up on the mountains... when we arent QRFing or recover blown up victors.

Little brother service here. Sgt in the air Force, doing my time next summer guaranteed Afghanistan. Being an equipment mechanic I don't see the action you guys get but I have seen enough pictures and guys coming back to appreciate the seriousness of combat. I appreciate your service, hope you enjoy your new truck, stay safe bro.

PS, get the speedway blue :) it grows on you

The Speedway Blue is nice. Here's a pic of mine. In Nam, we dodged 122 MM rockets and the cong's mortars and the B40 rockets. Not a fun thing. Stay safe guys/girls. Grandson is in Iraq as I type this. due to come home soon.[IMG]

    Welcome to TacomaWorld Sir...

Thank you so much for your service to our country. I was a Cavalry Scout (19D) from 94-98, and my wife goes to MEPS next week to re-enlist in the reserves (she is a cook). Together we run Padgett Fabrication, LLC. My wife and I and our 4 Kids thank you for defending our country and its interests.

Because of our devotion to the support of our armed forces, Padgett Fabrication , LLC gives 20% off everyday to all deployed combat forces (25% off on orders placed by Memorial Day) and we give 10% to all Police, Fire, EMS, and all other military (15% on all pre-memorial day orders)
