Here's how the sub fits. I was looking for a way to move the seat forward but now think I'll just live with this.

Seat up is absolutely no issue.

Seat down, the bottom of the plastic just barely makes contact and the foam is right up on the sub surround. I don't see that being a problem either.

Complete Kicker audio system (4 channel amp, mids and tweets in the front, 2 ways in the back, 2 10 inch comp rt subs, Zxsum8, alpine pdx 1.600 boxes and amp rack by Mr Marv), Pop & Lock, Mobtown locking bed storage doors, Bilstein 5100s, Katzkin Leather interior, Redline Hoodstruts, Backflip.
Those subs have a really far excursion. You have to remove the plastic off the back of the seats for now. I'm going to be doing a mod to the seats soon that will bring them forward about 3/4 of an inch. You just need longer bolts that hold the seat to the mount and either a stack of washers or a spacer. That way you will not have any issue with the speaker hitting the back of the plastic. I haven't had my plastic backs on since I installed mine for the same reason

Damn it I'm wishing I would have went with those subs. I just got too good of a deal on my kickers

I really want to be able to put the seats down. A spacer will only help when the seat is up. But yer right, I'll have to compromise until I can find a better solution, or just learn to live without.

I'm the same way with good deals. Can't pass em up unless I'm absolutely set on something particular.

How deep did you build that box? I test fittted my box for my 12tw3 and have a bit more space.

Its a @Mr Marv box. Not sure on the exact depth. I can get a measurement after work. I might be able to squeeze out another 1/8" if i peel the raammat off from directly behind the box.

And don't get me wrong, the box is top quality and marv has likely produced hundreds of them. This is just the nature of the beast.

If it's one of his boxes it's built to perfection.

Is it okay to use the same source for remote-on and 12V input for the LOC?

that sub can supposedly do 0.6" one way excursion. 3/4" of room in front would be ideal, more would be better

Damn that sub is right on the rear back of the seat. To me, that appears to be close and the sub won't have enough room to travel.

I'll be taking care of that very soon. I have a couple things to try with the deadening and carpet.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Remove the carpeting off the back of the box. That will give you a little more room

100% agree. I didn't carpet the back of my boxes either

I notice my bottom of my jl 12tw3 barely touches and my top has about almost a 1/4 clearance.

This is the next step along with the carpet under the lip of the sub. Last night I strategically removed some of the deadener. There are definitely high spots on the wall and the deadener just accentuates it. That and a few washers under the mounting bolts should be enough.

I got my jl12tw3 to fit. Now I need to hook amps up this weekend. Bolted to back brace and that sucked it in. Also add 3/16 spacers to the seat to push it out.

That looks about perfect. What did you use to bolt to the brace?
