    Just got a new Sport...

Truck has the Toyo A30 Open Country tires... was peeking around and noticed the spare was a Firestone..

Anyone else notice a different brand spare?

Dealer could of changed the tires other than the spare for "looks"

They are both stock tires for the sport, but it is slightly odd that you would get both on the same truck.

Truck was ordered for me by my fleet manager friend at the dealership, so I know they were not swapped etc. Did not check the size...will have to check tomorrow. Maybe for simplicity, they use just one brand for the spare? In reality, don't really care because it will likely never be used.

Both are stock brand/size for the Sport and Sr5. I wouldn't put too much conspiracy thought into it.

Just random I bet, maybe spare tires are run on a different assembly line or mounted/added later in the process.

Tread pattern is pretty similar between the both of em, and if it bothers you a lot just ask the dealer to change it out. I have the same tires on the truck and the spare as well, but the truck did come with a tire manual for firestone tires which I found weird, but I think 2016 trd sports got the firestones and they started changing em to Toyo a30 for the 2017.

The 2G TRD Baja trucks shipped with BFG ATs on the truck and Rugged Trails for a spare.

It's just an easy cost savings measure to keep everything the same.

Those Rugged Fails were easily some of the worst tires I have ever had on a vehicle.

It comes with a sterile but it's a full size spare you should be good to go faster compared to the bicycle tires they put in smaller cars.

Yeah and the ridgeline isn't a real truck too so it doesn't need a full sized spare.
