Diode Dynamics is excited to introduce our Stage Series LED Ditch Light Kit for the 2016-2021 Toyota Tacoma!

    https://youtu.be/a2NwrM5_fVA

The Stage Series LED Ditch Light Kit for the 2016-2021 Toyota Tacoma allows you to easily mount two SS3 or SSC2 Pods above the hood. These application-specific brackets were CAD-designed to install using factory mounting points. No cutting or drilling required! This kit features a low profile design while minimizing glare, and will not interfere with raising or lowering the hood.

Built to last. The brackets in this kit are constructed out of thick-gauge stainless steel. Unlike other options made out of mild steel, these brackets are full stainless steel and won't corrode over time. With their thick-gauge construction, you also won't experience any vibration or bouncing while driving.

Focused: Most LED pods on the market, even certain premium options, use outdated technology like reflectors or simple lenses that lose light internally and to glare. By comparison, our custom-engineered total internal reflection (TIR) optic collects all of the light from the LED chips, drastically reducing wasted light and improving total efficiency.

While other options on the market lose as much as 10% of the light output shining through an outer lens, the custom-molded TIR optic in the SS3 and SSC2 serves as both the optic and main lens for greater efficiency and light output (patent pending). Thanks to this innovative feature, when coupled with high-intensity LED chips, the total intensity of the Stage Series Pod is much greater than other LED pods using basic optics or reflectors with a standard outer lens.

SSC2 Pro LED Pod - Combo Beam Pattern

Functional output. All Stage Series beam pattern options were designed with optical simulation modeling, to shape the output in a highly-functional beam pattern. No matter what your auxiliary lighting needs are, there is a Stage Series optic for you!

    • Combo combines both the Driving and Flood optics. The SS3 shines light downrange in a focused, rectangular 65x25 degree pattern, while the SSC2 shines light downrange in a 40x20 degree pattern. The combo lens features a flood optic on one side and a driving optic on the other.

White or Yellow. All Stage Series LED pods are available in a cool white or selective yellow color. The white is a 6000K color temperature, which is a true cool white output, and matches most factory LED lighting. The selective yellow is a 3000K color temperature, great for high contrast in poor weather or a distinctive look on the road. We also offer replacement lenses that allow you to change the color or optic of your SS3 or SSC2 Pods.

Sport or Pro. Stage Series LED pods are available at two different power levels. Both options use high-intensity LED emitters, and TIR optics for unmatched focus and overall output. However, the Pro option is double the amount of total power!

Backlight Functionality. All SSC2 Ditch Light Kits include a distinctive Amber backlight feature. The SSC2's backlight fully illuminates the TIR optic, providing a more unique and modern look than the small indicator LEDs found in other products.

Bolt-On Installation: The thick-gauge stainless steel brackets in this kit were CAD-designed to utilize existing mounting points for a bolt-on installation - there is no cutting or drilling required!

    Each kit will include:
    • Two (2) SS3 or SSC2 Standard LED Pods
    • Two (2) Ditch light brackets
    • Two (2) SS3 or SSC2 Mounting brackets
    • One (1) Heavy-duty dual output wiring harness
    • Mounting hardware
    • Mounting guide

See how to install our Stage Series LED Ditch Light Kit for 2016-2021 Toyota Tacoma below!
    https://youtu.be/d2QWXil-eUw

Customizable: If you’re looking to change the output color, add a layer of protection, or simply add some extra style to your SS3 LED pods, our snap-on covers are a great option. Like our scratch-resistant SS3 lenses themselves, the SS3 Pod Covers are made with a strong polycarbonate plastic, to protect against whatever the road throws your way.

Proven Reliability: Stage Series LED lighting has been extensively tested for long-term operation from -40 to 185 degrees F, along with vibration, moisture intrusion, and corrosion testing. All of these tests are completed to SAE standards, just like factory components. They've also been put to the test on-road by racers and enthusiasts alike.

Is the mounting brackets that comes with the SSC1 different when compared to the SSC2 universal mounting brackets?

    That's correct.

The SSC2 brackets are larger in dimension/design compared to the SSC1 brackets.

If a person has a Switch Pro and wants to use one of the buttons on the Switch Pro to turn on/off the SSC1 pods, but wants to also have the back light to have it's own dedicated button/switch, but not on the Switch Pro. I would like to use the button/switch that comes attached to the harness just for the back light, is that possible?

All SSC1 LED pods to include a Deutsch 4-Pin DT Female Wire Pigtail.

The red wire connects to the positive supply (main beam), and the black wire connects to negative or common ground. Tap the blue wire for the backlight to your desired vehicle function.

Overall, you can obtain power for the main beam from your Switch Pro and control the back light feature from an alternative power source of your choice.

Hey can y'all take a look at my wiring schematics and provide your opinion? Sorry in advance for my poor hand drawn illustration.

The emphasis is on the ability to control the on/off function of the backlight.

    Thanks for the illustration!

We just sent you a PM with one revision to your design that could be considered.

    @Diode Dynamics

Is there a reason the SS2 brackets need to be used for this? More importantly if one would like to use the fog or driving SS1 is there a way to reorient the lens correctly without voiding the warranty?

The SSC2 mounting bracket provides clearance for the SSC1 pod to move compared to the SSC1 mounting bracket not allowing for the same range of angles and adjustments.

    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CSu1ZEGnPdq/

The SSC1 fog optic isn't able to be rotated without filing down a tap on the TIR optic. This will void the warranty.

@Diode Dynamics do you guys happen to know what diameter size hole is required to fit the toggle switch that is attached to your light duty dual output 4 pin wiring harness?

You will need to use a 3/4" hole saw to drill a cutout for a clean installation of our included round toggle switch.
