    howdy!

recently purchased this deck, a kenwood KDC-BT948HD for 120 bucks.

was looking at these speakers for all around, Polk Audio DXi 650s's
    http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DXI650S/Polk-Audio-DXi-650s.html?tp=105#details-tab

and maybe this sub? Polk Audio db840
    http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB840/Polk-Audio-db840.html?tp=111

Right now i know very little about this, the deck as far as i know can power everything, but not quite to its full potential, so i guess im in the market for an amp? is there a more affordable, but = quality for speakers/sub? im looking for good quality and a little bump, but nothing crazy.

I listen to old and modern punk/rock, old school hiphop, and older country.

The deck can power you speakers just fine but doesn't have a sub amp or crossovers for the sub, the deck doesn't have low pass or high pass x-overs needed to run the sub, so you will need at least a sub amp. The sub, using its stats online, seems good. If you want to save some money you may like the speakers running off the deck because they have such a high sensitivity that they will get loud without an external amplifier and they do sound good this way, that is first hand experience, so you may be able to save $200 by not buying an extra amp. A good amp for that sub would be this. It will over power your sub with the gains all the way up but you will need to take it to a shop anyway to have it tuned and you can ask them to set it below or at the RMS of that sub.

see if I get an amp I thought I mighnt as well do 3 channel for left/right/sub to atleast be able to crank it and get full potential if I wanted. But I don't need anything like 1200w.
