i just installed a jvc kw-nt3hdt in my 07 tacoma with the jbl sound system and scoche interface. when i powered up the stereo it worked fine, then after a few minutes the audio kept cutting out and now it is just super quiet. i can barely hear the music. this is the same with dvd mode as well. can anyone help?

Disconnect the positive on your battery and it should reset if not its a defect on the system

yeah, that is the unit.....is there a way to test the scoche unit? when the radio is on and/or off the green led light blinks.....is that normal or should it be on constantly?

haha, yeah nothing is put back together. I'll give that a shot. I've never done that with other vehicles i've done radio installs on but it is worth a shot.

no dice....the audio is still super quiet. anyone else have a scosche ta07sr interface? i am wondering if the green led light on the box is supposed to blink eratically or stay on? apparently the low audio is the symptom of wiring a new stereo to a jbl system without a scosche interface which leads me to think maybe the scosche unit is bad?

well i took my tacoma to car toys and they diagnosed the problem as a bad scosche module.....they replaced the module and everything works fine. I will never buy anything with the scosche name. that was $100 for something that doesnt even work. hopefully sonicelectronics.com will give me a refund!
