Putting in new stereo and back up camera this week. Trying to decide between Sony XAVAX100 which has no cd/dvd, and JVC KW-V240BT, which pays cd and dvd. Thoughts?

If you want a cd and dvd player I'd go with the JVC.

I've had Sony units in other vehicles and they hold up reasonably well. I currently have a Pioneer in my truck. I put a Kenwood in my 89 Vette and I must say I like the features on it better than the Pioneer.

You're comparing two fairy different units with regards to features and price, so it's all going to depend on what you think you want most...

I don't ever need to play CDs or DVDs, and I really wanted Apple CarPlay for better phone integration (it also supports Android Auto for those with Android-based phones). The Sony costs a bit more, but for the features it had, well worth it for me.

Getting Kenwood DDX375BT at a great price installed at Best Buy. They price matched all the parts and install was free.

Best Buy had a sale that included free install. Definitely not slide in. 1.5 hr install for the head unit. With the internet price match, they were 350 below Car Toys.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Any of you guys have trouble with the JVC CD/Media player making seeking noise whether a CD is in or not? I'm considering just getting a media player without CD since it's annoying.
