I talked to a local supplier and im not to sure if there supplier sends 2 different leafs for the toyota tacoma's

I have a 98 extended cab taco. What is usually different from left to right for the taco leaf springs? I am wondering if the local spring company will be able to produce the proper leafs for the truck. Can I go with 2 Idendical leafs or are slight changes needed for the apparent tacoma lean?

The drivers side is usually a bit stronger due to the gas tank battery and driver being on that side.

If your worried. Wheelers makes a nice replacement pack, their 4 pack or opt for the 5 pack for a bit more weight capacity.

I looked into a couple aftermarket options and didnt feel they were nessesary for what im after and the pricing is a bit more to boot, but obviously for a reason.

Maybe someone knows how much stronger the drivers side leaf normally is? Id love to use a local company as they make them in house etc and its great to support a local company of course

The 4 packs are OEM replacements...which is exactly what your asking for?

I'm not aware of the exact spring rates

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Typically the driver side leaf spring has a little more arch to it to compensate for the taco lean. Atleast it's that way when ordering aftermarket leaf spring packs.

If your just adding an AAL to the stock leafs then I think they are the same, but I could be wrong. You could also fix taco lean by adding a top plate spacer to the driver side coil

    AALs are the same. Yes.

1/4" top plate spacer I believe is used...

I have to replace the packs as I have a broken leaf in the passenger pack and they are sagged with so many km's on them.

I am not aware of any wheelers canadian dealers so shipping and duties dont make it worth while unfortunantly :(

    ahhhh canadian..bummer.

id give wheelers a call. Or even Alcan as they are the company that makes the wheelers leafs for them. They may be able to inform you on your spring rates/thickness/arch that you need to tell your local company.
