    No mods.

The stock 2004 struts finally made their way out on my truck. It’s a pretty beat up high mileage Tacoma so I decided to just throw some Autozone Duralast strut assemblies in to replace the old ones. It seems as though the truck sits significantly lower in the front even though when I compared them the replacements were longer than the old ones. I know I need to replace the ball joints, stabilizers, etc. still. But I’m just curious as to how this could be. Any thoughts?

I just went thru this. The parts stores do not have the correct part number .

We need to use Four Runner assemblies.

Snap. Is this because of it being a TRD? You’d think they would have that as an option.. Due to time restraints if I get the same from Autozone but for a 2004 Four Runner 4WD That should do her? I assume engine size doesn’t matter.

Also, does this say the same for rear shocks?

Also, from what I thought was the rattling of my failing sway bar stabilizers is probably due to not having the right struts. Correct?

I think you need to use a 1999 four runner. The Runners changed styles before the Tacoma's.

I’ve looked around everywhere to try and find information on this. I got nothing.
