yay it's 5 dollars less than the Leaked MSRP price from a month ago! Toyota passed the savings on to us when they decided on drum brakes front and rear

Looks like you still need to add $900 destination to that MSRP chart.

Do the buyers in San Antonio still pay the $900, assuming their truck is built there?

You bet, it costs $900 to get it from the factory to the dealer.

The data sheet from my dealer appears to show that the destination charge is included in the MSRP of the 2015:
    Vehicle Base Model $28735
    Optional equipment $3455
    Delivery Processing and Handling $855
    Total MSRP $33075

Curious if Toyota has a factory delivery option like for the Corvette, Porsche, etc. I'd buy a one way tick to take delivery there in San Antonio. I could visit family and do the break-in drive home to Michigan. Make a vacation out of it.

Texas law states only a franchise dealer can sell cars. In other words, you cannot buy direct from a manufacturer. Tesla has been battling this for a few years (as well as those Texas buyers wanting to buy Tesla cars).

    References for you:

    http://jalopnik.com/how-texas-absurd-anti-tesla-laws-turn-car-buying-into-1451492195

    and

"Per the state’s franchise laws, auto manufacturers like Tesla are only allowed to sell cars to independent third-party dealers. These laws were originally intended to protect consumers against the possibility of automakers colluding on pricing..."

    http://arstechnica.com/cars/2015/05/bill-to-allow-tesla-to-sell-cars-in-texas-dies-in-committee/

I've not really looked into the subject much to take a side.

    I leave a deposit already

My first option was a DCSB O/R 4x4 quicksand, it doesn't have push/start button

Second option DCSB SPORT 4x4 quicksand, SB doesn't come 4x4

I ended with a limited mgm, I'm not sure, but has everything

Everyone in CONUS pays the same equalized price for freight, so the guy closest and furthest to the factory are on the same footing. If freight was factored on distance from the factory, you can imagine dealers in the vicinity of the plant will have a lot of business and dealers in other towns further out won't.. Why buy from your local dealer if you can drive to a few hours and save $900!

It's general practice with all mainstream car companies to charge dealers a standard shipping rate. If you think $900 is high, over here in Canada, all car makers charge between $1600 and $1800 for freight.. I bought a Subaru Forester for my wife last year, between the sales tax, the freight and the bullshit government taxes (on tire recycling tax, $100 air conditioning tax, etc.., I pissed away $6450; sales tax $4550, freight $1600, and mandatory govt. b.s. fees. A painful check to write.

I'm in for a Limited. I'll add the tow package, and I think it will have everything that I would want or need. In the new blue, too. The only thing that I am going to beg and plead for is if the factory can make one small adjustment: no push button! I just want a key!

Theres been some back and forth on the color thing. Not sure if gray is standard and the inserts are just options, or if they all come with brown. We will have to see.

plus, how else could you get a sunroof?

I wonder if they're any better than Mac Haik, formerly Star Toyota. Star was pretty damn awesome; ever since Mac Haik bought it out everything about that place has changed for the worst.

Autonation Toyota in Austin has a line for allocation conversion. They take the allocated truck and change its build configuration in the computer so it's built exactly like they (i.e. you) want.

I've posted their contact info in other threads, or you can PM me and I can send it to you directly if you're interested.
