I recently saw where Warn bought Factor 55. It should come included with the high-end Warn model. LOL :rofl:

That won't please investors and shareholders.

looking on the Superwinch website, i like what i see on this winch. However, I like Superwinch in general. They are very well reviewed should carry the reputation that Warn does. Their marketing fails them in that aspect. it seems like people either splurge for the Warn or cheap out on the smittybilt or harborfreight Apex winches. Buyers often forget there is another name brand winch that has been around for decades, quality built, and budget friendly.

Rated line pull of 10,000 lbs
    5.5 HP sealed motor
Relocatable die-cast aluminum control box- necessary feature with the prevalence of hidden mounts for toyotas these days
12' handheld wired remote features flashight with built-in ION battery- I see they have tried plugging into a control pack at night.
    Pull-and turn clutch handle
3-stage planetary gearing with 218:1 ratio
    Patented drumlight
    Wire rope measures 3/8” x 85'
    Heavy duty clevis winch hook
    Stainless steel 4-way roller fairlead
100% full load holding automotic mechanical brake
IP 68 rated against waterproof and dustproof
Durable metallic graphite powder coat finish
    Mechanical Warranty: Limited Lifetime
    Electronic Warranty: Limited 7 Year

I just check the price for a 12k X20. The price went up $100 to $600 since I bought mine last fall. I suspect there are some seasonal price changes based on demand.

Be sure to set aside some money for winch accessories. I picked up a Smitty winch shackle for $70 when I bought it last fall. I like it.

The best feature is the wireless remote. Being able to control the winch while you guide your truck is the ticket.

I picked up some black shackles, a recovery strap, tree trunk protector, everything I needed at Tractor Supply for just under $100. I didn't expect to use the winch this weekend. I'm glad I bought them on Friday night. On Saturday I slid off the trail into a ditch.

When you suddenly realize you need your winch, you don't want to have to think about anything but getting out. Having a good assortment of accessories was a major stress relief.

If I decide to "bling out" and spend $350 on Factor 55 appearance items later, that stuff is available.

The red shackles and accessories from Factor 55 are kinda cute.
