So tomorrow is the big install day. Front Alpine Type R 6 1/2 components, rear Alpine Type R 6 1/2 coaxial. Alpine PDR V75 5 channel amp, and new Kenwood DDX 672 Head Unit. Getting it all done from my buddy at Sound Sensations in Auburn Mass for 300.00 including all wiring, Dynamat, and labor. Already installed the Mr. Marv 10 inch sub box with a JL Audio 10TW3. Should sound a million times better than the stock paper crap.

Nice setup! I'm trying to find the time to finish my install. Front doors are deadened tweets are in. Just received speaker cable now I need time I figure 2-3 days worth going slow

You should be able to it depends on the Tweeter depth and such. These are just flush mounted and sup glued. I have new triangles on hand as well as a new set of Tweeters on hand that can go right into the factory spots if I don't like it.

Unchained am I right with reading the instructions that there are wires left no connected if you don't need them?
I running all new wiring for the speakers from my amp and curious to know that all those wires from that adapter are left unconnected?

So this install went amazingly well and sounds sweet. Could of went top of the line components but the Alpine Type R's foot the bill for me. I am lucky if I put 7,000 miles a year on my rides. That Crux interface my installer said it took him about 15 minutes to do it. Says it is one of the best things he has seen in a while for aftermarket to OEM stereo's. The PDR V75 amp was the only problem I have had so far. One of the channels blew 2 days later. It has been replaced and all is stellar now. All the Mr. Marv speaker adapters, and sub box fit like a glove. And the JL Audio 10TW3 D4 was well worth the 300.00 price tag.

Not worth answering that question. As to some people this Forum is all they really have in their lives. But yes the system sounds amazing. I am a Boston Acoustic junky but they stopped making them. So figured I would try Alpine for a bit.

Ok just a little update to this here build of mine. I know I have mentioned it before but I ended up with the Pioneer DEH 80 PRS headunit, going to a PRS- A900 Pioneer 4 channel amp.
Speakers I'm running are again Pioneer TS C 172 PRS component speaker system, along with TS-S062 PRS mids. Using the crux adapter harness. I ran all new speaker wire Stinger 12 guage size.
I must say as a first time self install it went ok with a few bumps but a call to Crutchfield solved the issues. The install took about 2 days total taking my time, obviously. A huge difference in sound overstock for sure, I just did a little tuning tonight and I sounds even better. In the next few weeks I will look in to some of the advanced tuning capabilities of the head unit but for now I'm just going to sit back and enjoy.
The head unit has a ton to offer as far as settings/ adjustments. I will try to remember to update as I go along. oh the amp is mounted on the floor behind the drivers seat, wiring ran along the trans tunnel and along the channels by the door sills
