I can honestly say I’ve never loved a vehicle anywhere close to as much as this one!

By the way, thank you all for the warm welcome. I sometimes have to pinch myself to make sure that I own this thing lol.

Putting lower ratio gears in the differentials to compensate for the bigger tires. Usually done when people put 35 inch or bigger tires on their truck.

Thanks for the clarification. These are only 33”

edit: is it something I should look into with 33s?
Would it void the factory warranty?

    Updates to come...
welcome! Assuming these are your numbers - then you're on the lower end, and might want to consider (go got s 4.20, or an OE Toyota 4.30 - the manuals run with a 4.30 in them). In a nutshell: "If you’ve fitted larger tires to your vehicle then you are likely experiencing a loss in performance, fuel economy, and more constant transmission gear “hunting” - This is because the larger tires reduce your engine’s RPMs below the optimal power band."

I personally will be re-gearing going to 33s myself, but if it's not bothering you...I'd just keep cruisin'. Happy trails!

    Stock Tire Size
    265/70-16R

    New Tire Size
    285/75-16R

    Stock Gear Ratio 3.91 : 1

    Calculate

    Effective Gear Ratio 3.64 : 1

    New Ratio Needed 4.19 : 1

I’m running 33’s with stock gears, and am satisfied with the way it drives.
