I honestly just wanted to see what it would be like without it. Some people on here are really adamant about getting them, others said they didn't get them and it was just fine. I've noticed a small amount of steering wheel shake since getting lifted. I think it would be fixed by the UCAs, but I may be wrong about that. It's really not bad at all though, and I checked with the dealer the other day and they said it's totally fine. I haven't driven on the freeway yet, and that will be the deciding factor for me because I make a lot of long road trips. For city driving it's hardly noticeable.

Welcome to TW Jeff! Mod bug has hit you already so you'll fit in just fine around here.

It only took me about two months to lift mine after buying it. I had the new UCA's before I bought the lift. lol

Welcome Jeff, nice truck! I'm in CO as well. Thought about plasti dip wheels but when discount tire had a great deal on memorial weekend I took the plunge did the wheels and tires. Recently did a 3" lift and new UCA is next on my list as well... Along with maybe grill and headlights, once you start it gets expensive quick.

Don't be scared just dive right in with the rest of us. Hell with 1's, 5's, 10's, 20's and 50's, just drop 100's on the counter to pay. :woot:

I lived in California and truck was always parked outside a lot.. may have contributed to my issue? I got 12k miles or so out of mine before they started cracking, I finally ditched them at 19k as the cracks could fit the edge of a dime in them. Sold them to a guy who decided to throw them on his F250.. strongly advised him not to because they weren't rated for that heavy a truck but he said he'd chance it. He got a local shop to put them on, they aired them all up and when they set the truck back on the ground, one blew. Glad that wasn't me on the road, got lucky.
