I am a new taco owner
    I got a 06 tacoma prerunner sr5 v6 crew cab.
I want to mod it but not something crazy because I still need decent gas mileage

    maybe a 2 in lift?
    cold air intake?
    31 in tires?

    any ideas?
P.S. as bad as it is to say to say I hardly know anything about engines or how to mod a tacoma. :(

    Congrats!

Look into adjustable Bilstein 5100's. You can get 1.75 inches on one of the settings.

265/75/16 I think is the tire you'll want to run with that.

Factory intake is cold air. But u can upgrade and get one that sounds really cool.

I don't know a whole lot either. But you can learn a lot here. I installed my lift by myself with little automotive experience.

265/75/16 tire size will look great with a 2 inch lift, you can put them on without a lift too without rubbing, and that'll be like a 32" ish tire i think. you wont sacrifice mpg either with that size. and i have 5100's set at 1.75" and theyre awesome

also. im lookin at some ATX crawls and im geussing the 16in wheel is what I need to go with?
    one more thing

Grill color matched, shifter ball, shell, 5100's all the way around.....
If your lifting it and not just leveling it with the 5100's if you go the full 2.5 that the front 5100's will give you. You will be able to run 33's or roughly a 285/ but your going to need a 1.5 aal, or block in the rear to make that one fly. But your still only talking 300.00 to 400.00 doing the work yourself. The onyl shop cost youll have will be alignment.

    not to be mean

but just read a few hundred threads and you will start to answer your own question.

of coarse, you will probably come up with a dozen more questions

Reading thread upon thread will answer a lot.

Get a set of coilovers and set them to 2 inches.

Go search the performance section for answers to all your intake needs. Have heard good things about AFE.
