I will add my congratulations on your purchase. Looks good. Beware reading this forum. It will cost you money. Mods Mods Mods. First one I got was the Hondo Garage radio knobs. Those crummy knobs that come on the truck are too short and you end up changing the station on the touch screen trying to use them. Second thing I got was locking cubby covers for the bed. Got those from Mobtown offroad. Then the front u-channel that should have come standard on the truck that goes below the rear window. That's an OEM item. And mine came with a rubber type bed mat and rubber type floor mats. Bed mat keeps stuff from sliding around and the ones inside the cab are easy to take out and clean. Not sure if you got the upgraded radio system or not. If not, the speakers that come stock are virtually worthless. I did the upgrade detailed on a thread called cheap speaker upgrade that appeared on here recently and it made a world of difference. Cost about $250. I installed them myself. Just installed the aluminum inner tailgate cover that Mobtown Offroad has. It is really nice. You want to get the threaded inserts they sell too. I got mine bare and had a local place do the powder coating as I wanted semi-gloss black. I didn't like the powder coating that Mobtown does---too rough. Really strenghtens the tailgate which is weak and can bend in the middle if you put too much load on it. I could go on and on but will finally mention the bedside stiffeners I got from Total Chaos. They really are nice and easy to install. Strengthens the bedsides that have a tendancy to spread outwards at the top back where the tailgate latches.

Anyhow--enjoy your new truck and don't trust the dealer to do anything. Change your own oil or buy it at Wal-Mart, buy a good filter, and take to quick lube place and let them put it in while you watch.

Congratulations on your truck! I've heard that you need to be careful of the baddies out there that are making lights for the taco. Some get moisture inside some are bad patterns some are off color and such. I know that Ebay and Amazon have a lot of knock offs so I would stick with a reputable company and beware of any "Too good of a deal" deals.

Funny you say that. One of my fogs is already acting up. It started flickering/striving which sux. Opt7 is a known reputable brand and I've purchased HID's from them with zero issues. They are sending me a replacement so hopefully I just got a bad bulb and swapping it out will take care of the issue. I'll keep ya posted.

Can you post a picture of the Hondo Garage radio knobs? And where you got them? Thanks!

So a lil' update on the Taco. First mod! Got rid of the chrome grill and went with the Pro grill. Was a lil' hesitant at first to drop that kinda cash on a grill but I'm happy I did. Completely changes the look of the front end. :bananadance:

Thanks for the knob change idea. Those new knobs look much better and I can actually use them now.

Pro Grille is worth every penny over the stock electric shaver looking grille.
