Anyone seen this? I can't seem to understand what a limited has available that an Off-Road doesn't. Apparently Toyota is making some changes to the line up in Chicago so I guess we will have to stay tuned and speculate from the pic in the article. Just curious on peoples thoughts about adding another trim to what I would argue is already a pretty full line-up.

Since you can get the Off Road with leather now, I dont see any reason other than adding more chrome on the OR.
I also wonder, by the way they worded it, did they really mean the PRO, in the sense that the OR will come with the PRO Grille?????

I basically had the same thoughts. My questions is how much more crowded are we really going to make this line up????? If you look at the picture it looks like a limited grill on an OR with black wheels. I am thinking along the lines of OR Limited or something. The real question is does it have a scoop?

If someone from Toyota spent time on TW they would know the PRO grille will be a better option.
    Black wheels I can understand.
An OR with a hood scoop would definitely sell more than any other trim.

It also doesn't have the new led headlights that I thought were standard on the limited...so I would think it would slot lower in the lineup but higher than SR5 :notsure:

Well at least its not like the PRO OR and Sport are all very similar already...... Seriously I feel like for the most part they can all be optioned to within spitting distance of each other with ease. To the point where it almost doesnt matter.

That truck has black painted OR wheels, black fenders flares and the limited style chrome grille.

A limited has everything a OR can come with standard except the OR specific hardware like locking diff and crawl control plus MTM.

If I had to guess. This maybe an appearance package for the limited.

I am gonna have to agree with you there. They probably have way to many TRD OR wheels sitting around and are trying to find new ways to get rid of them

Im leaning more towards maybe a Venture Edition after poking around on Toyota's site. On the 4runners it's about the Limited's price point but with a more off pavement underpinnings ie. locking rear diff. CC & MTS etc...as silly as it sounds.... Time will tell...

4runner has 8 models to the Tacoma's 6 maybe we're going to see a trim level shakeup. I won't mind if I could get a TRD sport double cab long bed with a locking rear diff and no CC or MTS

I like the painted Off Road wheels. Looking forward to updates on this model.

Why redesign a truck when you can simply add new trim levels. I get they want to make more options but we don't need trim level to do this. Toyota IMO has to be one of the worst second only to Honda in their unwillingness to let us pick out the options we want. Why do I need to get an entire package to get one feature? I don't want JBl "premium audio" i just want a sunroof, dual zone climate, and some parking sensors FFS.

Nocturnal Mischief... Does that mean the rear seat stain mod is now a Toyota factory installed option?

Throw in a manual transmission and I'll be ready to trade in on that.
