What's up everyone. I'm brand new to the site and bought my first brand new 2018 Tacoma. I heard the color quicksand was called "Iraqi Khaki or Taliban Tan" but I thought Marine Corps Khaki sounded better. Go Merica!!!!!! I did trade in my used Tacoma and owned that one for over 8 years. However I bought it when it was 3 years old so this one is my first true brand new one. Hopefully I'll get some sound advice on mods and hopefully I can reciprocate it back to others.... Semper FI to all.

Welcome to TW and thank you for your service! I served the Army for 8 glorious years, 3rd ID 190th out of Fort Benning, multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with bullet wounds to prove it! Lol

Enjoy the new truck like I do! Semper FI!

First, thank you for your service!!! Secondly, welcome to TW, this site has an abundance of information and of course snarky entertainment. Overall, enjoy your new truck.

The deals are pretty good right now for end of year purchase since the 19's are coming. I have found Tacoma's are pretty difficult to negotiate because of the demand. However if you're not too specific on color it will help. I was very specific on everything so I couldn't just purchase one that was sitting on the lot for several months. No matter what KBB says on your trade in value I would push it up more. As I told the dealer, Tacomas don't apply to KBB. The demand is there. I then relate how the pre-Tacoma late 80's and early 90's 22RE engine trucks book at like 800-1000 yet demand will show for sale at about 2k or more depending on condition. In the end make them show you the invoice and compare what they give you with what can be looked up on Edmunds. Remember though Toyota employees and the business still make money on moving a car through the corporation. So the ball is ultimately in your court.
