New Tacoma Engine Issues

Welcome to tacoma world fellow louisiana member! As the dealer will tell you it's normal characteristics of the vehicle! No program flash or amount of miles u put on it will change that! The fifth gear is usless and you just have to learn to live with it.
It don't bug me much anymore that it shifts to 4th on an overlay i understand the bullshit about bew transmissions and mpg whatever. but what do bugs me is the jerk u feel when it shifts to 4th on a small overlay! Toyota definitely messed up on this transmission ruined an awesome truck!

 

The 2015 Chevy Colorado I had for 6 months never downshifted going up a hill or while bucking a head wind with the cruise control set. It would set you back in the seat when you pulled out to pass someone too.

 

have them update ECU and flash it. this will fix it 80% of the time, as i am on the 2nd update now and it will smooth out over time just drive it normal. I'm now at 20,000 miles and it shifts fine most the time...

 

It's not what the consumer wants. I'ts what the government wants. Get over it. You all are acting like a bunch of individuals.

20,000 today dollars was around 8 grand in 1982 sheesh
