Kia charges $4500, seriously they add this to every car.

That’s why they have the commercials giving you $5000 for any car you drive, push or pull to their dealer.

They take your car then just take off the $4500 maintenance fee then don’t do it.

From reading the 2019 price thread, it seemed like most posters were getting at least 10-12% off MSRP. So before TTL, 37-38K was a number you should have been shooting for. But you answered your own question. Since you'll be trading in your truck every few years, why fall for that bullshit dealer warranty when it won't apply to you for the most part unless you just drive like a bat out of hell! I would definitely shop around the next time around.

This is nothing but a lie. Maybe at the crooked dealer you went to. Don’t smear an entire brand because of one dealer. I have PLENTY of bad Toyota dealer examples to do the same.

I think the OP is getting hosed. Your “discount” is nothing but dropping charges for BS add-ons. You’re paying full price for the truck.

Is it even possible to get a Southeast Region Tacoma without all the BS distributor add ons?

Should be able to get them to go lower or find a dealer who will. All about local but when the local guy is reaming you a new one you go somewhere else. I walked out of my local dealer went to another and they trade the same dealer for the truck. Saved me $3k. Also $329 for floormats? They are basically weathertechs you can add after. Others commented but yah those cables better come with a happy ending for $73.

That’s the catch “as long as I” The first time “you don’t do as long as I “ you are probably jeopardizing the warranty. Not many owners keep every single service receipt for the lifetime of their vehicle.
Also, is this warranty based on dealer suggested maintenance schedule or does it follow Toyota’s maintenance schedule?

Price you pay largely depends on where you live.

I don't know if you actually read the fine print on that warranty, but many Toyota dealerships offer the same 'lifetime' warranty, however it is required the maintenance work be done by the dealer. That is how it was explained to me, to which I declined.

Go ahead and miss an oil change by 50 miles. Sorry, no more warranty.

I have one rule when buying things. If I'm happy with the deal I don't keep shopping. It'll only bring disappointment

I paid 35k for my 2016 fully loaded 4x4 TRD Off-road.... I know they have gotten more expensive, but that seems high to me

I think you did good - You got 20 grand for a 2 WD Toyota that every Hotdog on this site says are worthless (always have to have 4WD) plus you got a break on the sales tax as you only had to pay on difference. You probably got most of original price back on the 2WD and they will still turn a profit on it as well..

California dealers seem to offer pretty good discounts on Tacomas... at least the OR versions. Didn't get quite as good of a deal as you did, but still $4500 off sticker.

    Nice truck btw!

Congrats. I love the cement. Wasn't available in 2016 models but if I could do over I would get that. That's not a bad price also.

You can typically get 10%>12% off MRSP from high volume dealers depending on how eager they are to meet their sales quotas and how hard you press them. So MSRP of $42785 should put you around $38500 > $37650 before taxes.

Just bought mine in April for 41.6 OTD 4x4 Premium/tech, with some other addons. (Chrome exhaust, Wheel lock... things like that)

I had a tacoma price at 33.xxx k for tech package and 37.6 for premium.

I bought mine in Arizona at 8.3% tax for 41.6 OTD about $600 dollars high, from what I thought I could of gotten, but I was running out of time.

    *Edit* English is hard.

Still stands 37.5 for premium/tech is a great deal. I wish the manufacturer add-ons weren't included as it added 600 dollars to my OTD price.

Something that I think most missed was the fact that they gave you more for your trade in than what it was worth. So what you "paid" for the new one was actually less, but it just looks like you paid close to sticker.
