Hello all - I first want to thank everyone on this forum for providing a myriad of valuable research information when I was deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on my new truck.

I was CLOSE to getting a Colorado Diesel, but frankly, the wealth of knowledge and available 3rd party upgrades that are available was overwhelmingly better with the Taco.

That, plus the fact that I have an old family heirloom Toyota in the garage, a 1979 BJ40 (Diesel FJ40 from Costa Rica where my wife is from). In fact, my wife MADE me get a TRDPro so that the grills would match!!

I am enjoying the truck immensely so far. Taking a little bit to get used to the tranny and weird surging/clicking feel in the brakes, but nothing I didn't know about ahead of time by reading many forum posts.

Looking forward to seeing if this truck can last as long as my BJ40!!

    Thanks again.

    Mike

Marking my calender to tag you in 38 years to see the results.

Well, never mind. I won't be around. But I'll leave the note for my kids to follow up on.

I won't be around either Billy, but hopefully my kids will keep the Toyotas in good enough shape for your kids to come check them out in 2055!!
