New Tacoma has speed surges while accelerating.. and vibes

This may be a normal characteristic of the engine and transmission combo. From what I’ve read, these engines and transmissions are quirky, so maybe this is normal .. but thought I’d ask here . Truck is only a week old, but I have noticed while moderately to hard accelerating , it seems to surge almost like there’s a turbo kicking in.. like a sudden brief boost in power and acceleration that lasts a half second or so.
My dad has a 2021 Tacoma that I have driven a bit, and I seem to recall it also felt a bit this way, but not nearly as noticeable… although I never accelerated as hard in his .
Is this normal ? Or do I have a possible software issue ?
I also have a slight vibration on hard acceleration between 30-40 km/hr ..smooth at all other speeds . But I also know the drivelines in these trucks are not known to be the smoothest. I could probably live with the vibe … but it is slightly annoying on a brand new truck.

 

yes, there is a "dip" in power on mine, I believe it can be seen in dyno type graphs as well. It's really only annoying on occasion,, sometimes the timing is wrong, when you need power and you slow for a split second

 

Boost kicks in at about 3400 rpm. Learn to enjoy it.

 

Gotta love the Tacoma power band. And the shaking, hesitation is torque converter shudder. Very common, lots and lots of threads on here about it and some pretty good fixes. I got a tune right away and gained more power through the low end to even out the power band.
