Greetings. I owned a 2002 Tacoma PreRunner years ago, and am now back in the game with a new 2012 SR5 4X4 V6. I have to tell you, on my old Tacoma, I NEVER broke more than 19mpg. I just took my new Taco to the east cost, and averaged 23.2 mpg's (calculated by hand). I have to say, I think that's pretty good for a new truck, and it's better than I expected.

I must say that I'm making a conscious effort to keep the rpm's lower than 2500, and I'm driving like those I used to swear at. I love this truck! I've been through 4 vehicles in the past four years, and realized I was not happy with any of them because I missed my truck. Not practical, I know, but you only live once. I'm now "home."
