As of this weekend, I am a 2005 Speedway Blue Access Cab 4x4 TRD Sport owner!

    20160103_221813.jpg

    I went from this:
    20150816_185813.jpg

    To this!
    20160103_221529.jpg

I wanted something already a little scruffy that I could put a ton of miles on, throw work gear and bikes in the back and not fret if I put the first scratches on it.

The forum has been a great resource thus far!

I've already fixed the all too common blank temp/compass display and a stuck rear tailgate.

I'll do quite a bit of commuting in her, so I'm not going to do any sort of lift or bigger tires to help keep the already poor fuel economy in check.

So generally speaking, there is a lot I want to do, but subtle things:

    Exterior:

    • CravenSpeed Stubby antenna
    • Custom bike (fork) mounts in the utili-track rail
    • Retrofitted projector HID headlights
    • Possibly LED tail lights that eliminate the "circle"
    • Tailgate handle with rear view camera
    • Down the road, possibly a rear disc brake conversion

    Interior:
    • Homelink rear view mirror
    • Android based double DIN head unit
    • 6x9 componets in the front
    • 6.5 coax in the rear
    • JL Audio stealthbox in the center console
    • 3-spoke Rav4 steering wheel with audio controls

    Engine:
    • AFE intake
    • long tube headers
    • full exhaust

I like the rear disk conversion and led tail lights.
but all the led tail lights replacements tail lights I've seen, are sealed and once the led's burn out, the whole tail light needs replaced.

Welcome to the forum. Just be sure you don't get infected by Moditis! You know...that uncontrollable urge to modify this, add that, spend a bit more on something else...;)

I had totally forgotten I'd posted an introductory thread here. I was fun to look over my "want to do" list and compare that with where I'm at today.
